    2010 Year in Review -- Ultimate Resolutions

    The start of a new year provides a great opportunity to reflect back on the previous year and resolve to make changes for the year ahead. Whether you want to increase your vertical, improve your mark, be a better teammate, or just help your team meet its goals -- identifying what you want to improve or do is the first step in realizing that change. What are your individual and team Ultimate Resolutions for 2011?

    As a part of a 2010 Year in Review, each day between now and New Year's Day USA Ultimate will be pose a new discussion topic asking your input on what was the best for 2010 in that category.     For anyone coming up with their new years resolutions, I'd recommend looking into SMART goal setting. By that, I mean creating goals that are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. Having SMART goals will help track and maintain your progress towards achieving them.

    that's funny you should mention the SMART goals and use "relevant." We use those at work, only our R stands for Realistic. I kept telling them it should be relevant since a goal to steal $1000 in office supplies before the end of the year met all the categories, but wasn't relevant to the business goals. Of course, my post is pretty much irrelevant to the discussion. Just made me chuckle.
