Just want to make sure play was restarted correctly this weekend.

Scenario:
Team A hucks a disc from the sideline that never comes back in bounds. A player on Team A jumps from the end zone and attempts a greatest. His pass never comes back in to play.

Team B starts with the disc at the nearest point on the playing field proper that the player on Team A jumped from...in this case Team B would start with the disc at the front corner of the end zone, right?

I had initially thought that since the disc never returned to play it would come into play where it had first left the field of play (mid field). But the player jumping from in bounds changes this, correct?

Thanks.

Yup, that's right.

A defender (IB or OB) or an IB offensive player changes it to come in at the closest spot on the field proper to where they touched it, rather than where it crossed the line after the throw. So you guys bringing it up to the cone was right.

Check IX.H. for the definitive guidance.
