This week's College Championships marks the one year anniversary of usaultimate.org and the creation of the message boards.
The message boards are a way for the ultimate community to engage each other and discuss hot topics related to anything to ultimate. USA Ultimate is happy to have this be a place to jump in and help clarify questions that arise, by we really want the message boards to be a resource by and for the ultimate community. This past year, we have been posting weekly topics as placeholders for conversation, but are looking to hand over those duties to a crew of message board moderators.
USA Ultimate is looking for volunteers to serve as message board moderators to:
- develop strategies to turn the message boards into a useful discussion area with a positive community engagement
- work with each other to decide on and post a new topic of the week, and to seek members of the ultimate community with expert insight on the topic on hand.
- use their expertise in areas like local ultimate, international ultimate, and youth/college/ultimate to help make the message boards a valuable resource.
Send your interest (and background info) to matthew@usaultimate.org.
---
In this week's Topic of the Week, we ask:
- what do you like about the message boards?
- what do you dislike about the message boards?
- what would you like to see more of on the message boards?
##
Each Thursday usaultimate.org will feature a different topic of discussion on its message boards in order to engage USA Ultimate members and the Ultimate community around the world. The idea is to encourage discussion about some of the current events happening in the sport of Ultimate, and to collect opinions, ideas and feedback from our members and athletes across the globe. Interesting, exciting, controversial or informative, a featured topic will be chosen each week and representatives from USA Ultimate will provide their input in an effort to enhance its communications with the Ultimate world. Please send topics you’d like to see discussed to matthew@hq.usaultimate.org
