Thanks for reading!

This week’s blog of the week (http://umichflywheel.blogspot.com) is authored by Anna Maria “Amp” Paruk of the University of Michigan Flywheel women’s ultimate team. Anna Maria’s posts are smart, candid, and down to earth. What makes this blog particularly valuable is the great variety of the subject matter in the posts. Anna Maria gives usefu recaps (http://umichflywheel.blogspot.com/2011/03/final-thoughts-on-centex.html) of Flywheel’s tournament competition as well as tourney previews and reflections of other women’s teams (http://umichflywheel.blogspot.com/2011/02/pres-day-recap_24.html). In addition to the standard tourney previews/ write-ups I also love Anna Maria’s insight on other topics like SOTG (http://umichflywheel.blogspot.com/2011/04/sotg.html), as well as which workouts (http://umichflywheel.blogspot.com/2011/03/different-workouts.html) are best during the course of the women’s season.

Michigan’s impressive wins over Stanford and University of Washington at Centex culminated in a 5th place tournament finish, as well as a 5th place USAU ranking (http://www.usaultimate.org/news/college-rankings-women-end-of-2011-regular-season) as of April 8th. As a perennial national qualifier, Michigan will be an exciting team to follow into the post-season!
