Check out our second webcast (http://www.usaultimate.org/multimedia/the-ultimate-nation--webcast-2-aug-25-2010/) of the Ultimate Nation, featuring four very special guests: Team USA members Casey Macphee, Jimmy Mickle, Tim Morrissy and Joe Riedel, fresh off their gold-medal performance at the world championships in Germany. In addition to fielding some questions from USA Ultimate CEO Dr. Tom Crawford, they answered questions submitted by you, the viewer.

For future webcasts, we would like to address topics that are chosen by you. So, is there any subject you would like to see discussed directly? Current events, the future of USA Ultimate and the sport, rules, governance, observers, Spirit of the Game? Is there anything interesting, controversial, exciting, or troubling that you would like to see addressed? Tell us.

Once we’ve selected a topic(s) for the next webcast, we will let you know so you can begin submitting specific questions related to that topic.

There are several ways to submit content, ideas, comments and questions:

You can e-mail the webcast directly at theultimatenation@usaultimate.org.
OR
You can post a thread on the USA Ultimate message boards.
OR
You can submit content via our Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/USA-Ultimate/119701558067872).

I would say the webcast is a little long. I love ultimate and watch way to many videos and things, including the same ones over and over sometimes. But 25 minutes of a couple people talking just gets a little slow by the end. I would say 10-15 minutes is the range at which I wouldn't lose interest before the end. Maybe if you broke it up and did "part 2 coming soon" and stuck the other half up a week or two later?

I'll agree with that. The questions and overall topic was good, but on the long side. The only reason I watched the whole thing was to hopefully get a sneak peak at some college restructuring plans as they mentioned in the first webcast. Hopefully TUN (UNwebcast?, UNW?) #3 will talk about that.

Also, what day of the week are the webcasts normally going to be? Is it just any day of the week?

Check out our second webcast (http://www.usaultimate.org/multimedia/the-ultimate-nation--webcast-2-aug-25-2010/) of the Ultimate Nation, featuring four very special guests

I may have missed some announcements relevant to my suggestions, but I have a few suggestions:

1) Announce the guests in advance so that members can tailor the questions they submit to be more relevant. I think it is more interesting to have people answer questions on topics they are knowledgeable about than just any questions.

2) Post the questions asked/answered or topics covered along with the announcement of any new webcasts.

3) Make the webcasts available for download as mp3's. I am much more likely to listen to something like this on the way to work than I am to dedicate 25 minutes sitting at the computer to watch the streaming video.

4) Keep up the good work on this. This is an exciting new effort to reach out to the membership and I like it a lot.

Remind me, where should I look for an announcement of the upcoming Ultimate Nation topics (and guests?) so that I can submit questions?

We'll be posting the topic to our facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/USA-Ultimate/119701558067872), and will be creating a message board thread dedicated to the upcoming show.

Facebook page has good info. Having that information also in a message board thread would be great.

The quality of the video is pretty low. I understand that there are some bandwidth or storage issues, and some graphics are included as part of the presentation, but I still think a downloadable audio recording would be a valuable option. The video does not add that much and the portability of a podcast format would make the program far more accessible.
