This is a public service announcement to people who like to make up rules that don't exist.
On a turnover (or putting the pull into play), there is no rule that states that you can't change the speed with which you are carrying the disc to the spot. If you want to start out walking and burst into a sprint, place your pivot at the proper spot, tap the disc to the ground and throw, that is completely legal. It is also legal to start out jogging, and slow to a walk, as long as you are not unreasonably delaying putting the disc into play.
In case it's not clear from the lack of existence of this rule, the online rulebook is annotated to include the following under endzone possession (X.A.2. Carry the disc...) "The player may carry the disc at any speed, constant or variable, while not unreasonably delaying."
Stop making up rules. I don't care what you heard from your summer league captain that one time.
